Florida Mega Millions: Winning Numbers, Megaplier Odds & Player Guide
Welcome to the authoritative results portal for Florida Mega Millions. Known worldwide for generating earth-shattering jackpots that regularly exceed $1 Billion, Mega Millions is played across 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings take place twice a week on Tuesday and Friday nights at 11:00 PM Eastern Time (ET), produced from the WSB-TV studios in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Florida Lottery joined the Mega Millions consortium in May 2013. Florida has been the site of multiple historic Mega Millions jackpot milestones, most notably on August 8, 2023, when a single winning ticket purchased at a Publix supermarket in Neptune Beach, Florida claimed the record-shattering $1.602 Billion jackpotโthe largest Mega Millions prize ever awarded in history!
A significant percentage of every $2.00 Mega Millions ticket sold in Florida supports the state's Educational Enhancement Trust Fund. This funding has financed thousands of public school infrastructure projects and awarded over $45 billion in cumulative educational grants and scholarships through the Bright Futures program since the Florida Lottery's inception.
Players can also select the optional Megaplier for $1.00 extra per play. The Megaplier randomly multiplies all non-jackpot winnings by 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x, boosting second-tier Match 5 prizes from $1 Million up to a maximum of $5 Million cash without needing to hit the Mega Ball!
How Mega Millions Works & Game Rules
Playing Florida Mega Millions requires selecting numbers from two separate pools:
- 5 White Balls: Chosen from 1 to 70.
- 1 Gold Mega Ball: Chosen from a separate field of 1 to 25.
- Grand Prize: Match all 5 white balls plus the gold Mega Ball to win the rolling multi-million or billion-dollar jackpot.
- Megaplier Feature ($1 Extra): Before each draw, a Megaplier number (2, 3, 4, or 5) is drawn. Non-jackpot prizes are multiplied by that factor.
- Advance Play: Purchase tickets in advance for up to 26 consecutive drawings on a single ticket slip.
